Roger and his team are talented, attentive, and a joy to work with. My company needed to schedule and remotely produce a video on short notice with a fair number of logistical hoops to jump through and we felt completely at ease and confident in the process with Roger at the helm. We're thrilled with the result and the seamless experience.
From my first call to Roger, I felt confident that I found the right videographer. Roger listened as I described our need and asked the "right" questions. Also, he was detailed and clear in his responses when I had questions. When I met him face to face, he was friendly and yet business-like. Importantly, his work met our expectations and then some! I would definitely work with Roger again. Sally Grimes, Ed.M.
Roger and team are superb. We've worked with them annually for 4 years as they've done all the video capture and production work for our large seminars at MIT in Cambridge. Not only is their final video product top quality, but Roger knows how to set up successful shots and works with you to make sure everything in the location will be ideal, from the lighting to the audience to the sound. Handling multiple mics, difficult visual contrast between presenters and projected slides, ambient noise, unobtrusive still shots -- all are just in a day's work for Roger and team. Hire them, and they'll make your event video recordings a success.
I have work with The Video Garage for 10 years and can't recommend Roger Metcalf enough for his services. He is extremely thoughtful and sesitive to the specific needs of every project. Roger's goal is always to make sure the client has the desired outcome and works with them step-by-step to make sure this happens. For anyone who might feel axious going into an unknown video project, Roger is the perfect person to work with. I can't recommend him enough.
I had an excellent experience collaborating with Roger Metcalf and The Video Garage on the production of a music video, and a series of press kit videos, for the Boston-based band, Glympses. I’ve know Roger for many years through the local music scene. I’ve alwaya admired the video work and still photography he had done for other local artists such as, Ruby Rose Fox. Roger had a great eye for visuals, is very knowledgeable about cameras and lenses, and has been known to work in both film and digital. He’s given me very good advice over the years when considering equipment upgrades. However, the main reason I am writing this review is to share that he is a wonderful collaborator. He’s friendly and can develop a nice rapport with talent and crew, is reliable, fair, and creative. Partnering with him on the Glympses videos was nothing but a positive experience for me. I look forward to future collaborations with Roger and his team.
